How To Apply For The PAL-ED Scholarship
The PAL-ED Scholarship application is below. Â Before starting the application please look at the checklist below to see if you qualify for the scholarship. Â
Required (R) and Preferred (P) Criteria:
- Educational focus in Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice Studies (R)
- Participation in Local Recreation or DCPAL Activities (P)
- Current Daly City, Colma, Broadmoor Resident (P)
Scholarship Includes:
- One (1) $2,500 Award Recipient
- Dinner for recipient and two guests at Annual DCPAL Golf Fundraiser dinner held in July
Typed Essay Questionnaire
Explain your career aspirations and educational goals. Â Once you have achieved this plan, how will you apply this to your law enforcement/ criminal justice career? Â Please limit your essay to 300 words.
Important Dates To Remember
The application deadline is the Friday, August 18, 2023.
Applicant interview notification by the second Monday, August 21, 2023.
Interviews to be held (dates to be determined) through August 23 to September 4.Â
Scholarship awardee will be notified by Friday, September 8, 2023.
The Daly City Police Athletic League Golf Tournament Fundraiser dinner will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023.
