Daly City Police Athletic League’s Board Member, Captain John Gamez, presents Woodrow Wilson Elemenatry School a check for $2,500. Principal Sara Rich explains that many needy students can now attend their 5th grade Outdoor Education trip thanks to our donation!

PAL President Ron Mussman presented 100 backpacks to the Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative, as part of their “Summer Backpack Drive”. Interim City Manager Shawnna Maltbie attended the presentation.

Daly City PAL Board Member, Captain John Gamez, celebrated with Woodrow Wilson Elementary School’s 5th grade students after delivering a $5,000 check from the Daly City PAL towards the school’s fundraiser for a grass turf soccer field. The school needed to raise a total of $100K and with Captain Gamez’s efforts in reaching out to other donors, he helped Woodrow Wilson secure the last bit of fundraising to reach their goal!Congratulations and a big thumbs up!

Daly City PAL partnered with Daly City Police Officer’s Association to donate $3,500 to Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. The donations will provide scholarships for families in need to ensure their kids can attend Outdoor Education week in the Spring. Principal Sara Rich was so excited for the PAL/POA support of the Woodrow Wilson community. This money will help many students who may not otherwise be able to attend this valuable program.

When we (Daly City PAL) heard that a storage locker belonging to AYSO Region 146 was burglarized and vandalized, we wanted to help them replace their equipment. AYSO Region 146 has been providing age appropriate, developmental soccer in Daly City for 40 years. We stepped in and provided them with the funds to purchase stolen items such as balls and nets.

This past March, Daly City PAL made a donation of $7,350 supporting the Daly City Baseball Association .  This week, DCBA  ran their baseball camp at Westlake Park for kids 6 to 13 years old.  We are thrilled to see them having so much fun playing baseball!

Today, the Daly City PAL presented Reyna Meafua with a check in support of the upcoming Pacific Islands Together 4th Annual Shine Family Day held at Jefferson High School.  Shine Family Day promotes Health and Wellness, provides an affordable festival for our community, and showcases a diversity of cultures.

Today, the Daly City PAL presented Jefferson High School’s softball team with a check in the amount of $1,400 to pay for a pitching machine! We wish the softball team a great season!

Camp Unity Founder, Manufou Liaiga-Anoa’i, reached out to Daly City PAL looking for support for their summer camp.  We are excited to build a relationship with this organization.  Congratulations!

Today Westmoor High School Baseball Coach Victor Wesser and some of the baseball team members presented a photograph of the team to PAL Vice President Patrick Hensley and Treasurer Diane McCarthy as a token of gratitude for the PAL’s donation to the team.

The Pacifica and Daly City Police Departments presented Kops & Kids at Sea Bowl Bowling Center on Saturday, June 18th from 10 am – 3 pm.  Daly City PAL was there to support this event and passed out PAL backpacks and bags to all the kids.  Two kids were our grand prize winners, one winning an iPad and the other a PlayStation 4!

Coach Victor Messer of Westmoor High School called for help and Daly City PAL answered! Daly City PAL is very happy to be given the opportunity to support the Daly City Peninsula Collaborative by making a $500 donation towards their 2015 Backpack and school Supply Drive. They were able to purchase and collect over 350 backpacks for needy children in the community.
